Current problems for users using AntiVir Professional

06/01/2011

Hi,

due to reasons beyond our control, users that have AntiVir Professional installed as antivirus software are currently much likely to be forwarded to an AntiVir warning site saying that our site might be hosting malware. This is a false positive.

This warning not only occurs when you are on www.gameforge.com, it also occurs when you are on www.startrek-is.com, and even on www.unity3d.com you will get this message when trying to install the Unity Web Player.

So far we found out that it only happens when you are using AntiVir Professional -- and the AntiVir WebGuard is active. If you are using the free version of AntiVir, you shouldn't get this warning.

We're still on it and let you know when we found out more.
